About the Photographer
Raju Bhandari is a freelance professional photographer based in Kathmandu Nepal. For him- photography is the language of light and he believes in making pictures and not taking pictures. He was born in July 1965 in Kathmandu. After completing school education in his hometown, he went to Bombay, India for further education.
Introduced to photography 12 years ago, he has been a full time photographer for the last 9 years.

His works include industrial, commercial, food, landscape and fine art photography.Over the years, he has built one of the most valuable collections of stock photos in the country.
His stock includes landscapes, festivals, monuments and portraits.Although he is an entirely self taught photographer, Raju regards the works of the masters, books on photography and the www as learning tools.
His clients include: Leading Five Star Hotels and Advertising agencies, UNICEF, PSI Nepal (Population Services International – Nepal ) and largest Banks of Nepal.
One of his images has recently been published jointly by American Himalayan Foundation and National Geographic Society book titled “ Himalaya.” (ISBN No. 0-7922-6192-5 )
